About Dr. Davis

I grew up in Houston, Texas and earned my undergraduate, master’s, and doctoral degrees from The University of Texas at Austin. I am a licensed psychologist, as well as a licensed specialist in school psychology (LSSP). I am a member of the American Psychological Association, Texas Psychological Association, Capital Area Psychological Association, and the Society for Pediatric Psychology.

I trained at two of U.S. News’ Top 25 Children’s Hospitals, where I worked with a variety of ages, ethnicities, illnesses, and diagnoses. My doctoral training included a one-year Pre-Doctoral Internship in Pediatric Psychology at Nationwide Children’s Hospital in Columbus, Ohio, and a one year Post-Doctoral Fellowship in Pediatric Psychology at Children’s Medical Center of Dallas. My dissertation explored the relationship between childhood genetic disorders and their effects on parenting stress and family environment.

In addition to seeing patients in my practice, I currently work part-time for the Department of Psychological Services at Del Valle Independent School District. I also complete assessments at Austin Child Guidance Center (www.austinchildguidance.org) on a contract basis. In my free time, I enjoy all the nature, music, Tex Mex, and Longhorn sports that Austin has to offer! You can often find me at one of the city’s parks with my dog, Sammy.

I consider myself lucky to have found a career that allows me to make a difference in the lives of children and families every day.
